Happy Ever After is designed as a monologue, using three actors representing a woman at different life stages. This narrative tells the true story of her longing and search for happiness as a young woman, only to experience the trauma of intimate partner violence. Using poetry, narrative, and humour, the story takes the audience on a journey encompassing the dark reality of such experiences and what it takes to emerge from their grip and claim back oneself.

The read will be held at The Last Jar, 616 Elizabeth St., Melbourne, and the cost to attend is $5.
All profits made from this show will go to compensate the actors.
